Lead Math Instructor / Tutor

About The Position

The Lead Math Instructor / Tutor leads and collaborates with team members to provide individualized math instruction in a group setting to K–12 students. The role assesses students’ progress and engagement, communicates progress to parents and guardians, and teaches in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices. The instructor is expected to become proficient with digital educational materials and processes. The position offers consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends. Candidates must be available at least four days per week during center hours: Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM–7:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. Applicants must take a math literacy test as part of the hiring process. Compensation is $18.00–$23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Passion for math and working with students.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and be trained.
Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2.
Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities.
Availability at least four days per week during the stated center hours.
Complete a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
