Lead Math Instructor / Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium of North Alpharetta is seeking a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor to provide individualized math instruction to K-12th grade students in a group setting. The role combines teaching with leadership and coaching responsibilities. Instructors teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, its terminology, and teaching practices, and use digital educational materials and processes. The position offers consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends, a supportive work culture, training on teaching methodologies, and opportunities for advancement. Mathnasium franchise locations are independently owned and operated; if hired at a center, the franchisee is the employer and is responsible for employment matters.
Requirements
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Calculus 1.
- Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities.
- Applicants must take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and collaborate with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement during instructional sessions.
- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians.
- Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
