Lead Math Instructor / Tutor

About The Position

Mathnasium of North Alpharetta is seeking a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor to provide individualized math instruction to K–12th grade students in a group setting. The role combines teaching with coaching and collaboration with other team members. Instructors assess students’ progress and engagement, communicate progress to parents and guardians, and teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices. The instructor is expected to become proficient with digital educational materials and processes. The position offers consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends, continuous training in effective teaching methodologies, and opportunities for advancement. All necessary curriculum and instructional tools are provided. Applicants must complete a math literacy test as part of the hiring process. The position pays $17.00–$25.00 per hour. The center is independently owned and operated by a Mathnasium franchisee, which is the employer.

Requirements

Passion for math and working with students.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and be trained.
Exceptional math competency through at least Calculus 1.
Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities.
Complete a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities
