Lead Math Instructor / Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium of Mathnasium (ID: 3500705) is seeking a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor to provide individualized math instruction to K–12th grade students in a group setting. The position combines teaching with leadership and collaboration, and involves working in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices. The center offers consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends, a supportive work culture, and ongoing training in effective teaching methodologies. Curriculum and instructional tools are provided. Applicants must complete a math literacy test as part of the hiring process. Mathnasium Learning Centers teach children to understand, master, and love math. Their curriculum is based on the Mathnasium Method™, developed through decades of hands-on instruction. Locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for employment matters and act as the employer of anyone hired at their center.
Requirements
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
- Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities.
- Pass a math literacy test demonstrating math proficiency as part of the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and collaborate with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement during instructional sessions.
- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians.
- Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
