About The Position

Landmark Hotel Group is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for Comfort Suites Chesapeake. The role involves leading hands-on maintenance work and helping maintain the hotel’s appearance, equipment, and systems. The technician receives assignments and priorities from the Chief Engineer, supervises work and repairs, and organizes the materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily tasks. The position emphasizes quality, service standards, guest satisfaction, and the company mission. The Lead Maintenance Technician performs electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance work in guest rooms and public areas, and handles chemicals for designated uses and surfaces according to hotel requirements. The role offers an estimated pay range of $18.00–$19.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including relevant experience, specialized skills, qualifications, and geographic location within Virginia.

Requirements

Three years of experience in a hotel or commercial setting.
Journeyperson experience in an electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC trade.
Knowledge and experience in budgeting and expense control.
Good attitude and work ethic to support operating efficiency and established guest-satisfaction criteria.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
Relevant or transferable skills.

Responsibilities

Receive daily work assignments from the Chief Engineer and review priorities and special projects.
Actively supervise work and repairs being performed.
Organize materials, tools, and equipment for daily assignments.
Maintain the hotel's appearance, equipment, and systems.
Perform electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance on guest rooms and public-area work orders.
Handle chemicals for designated uses and surfaces according to hotel requirements.
Support guest satisfaction through quality work, service standards, and adherence to the company mission.
