About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Tech helps ensure high guest satisfaction and effective teamwork by safely and efficiently maintaining the hotel property. The role performs preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment. The employee may direct other maintenance staff, delegate tasks, and instruct team members in methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in building and mechanical trades. The position is described as an opportunity to grow into a future Chief Engineer. Pay is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of general building maintenance experience or equivalent experience in a trade profession.
Solid experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
General carpentry skills and knowledge of and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
Leadership, problem-solving, and basic computer skills.
Ability to adapt to technology such as Alice.
Ability to provide high-level customer service and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure.
Ability to share knowledge and teach others to perform tasks.
Ability to safely and correctly use power tools and equipment and knowledge of occupational hazards and required safety precautions.

Nice To Haves

Vocational School Certification preferred.
Certified Pool Operator, if the property has a pool or water park.
