About The Position

Sargent & Lundy is hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer for its Government Services Division. The role offers a hybrid arrangement, with a mix of work from home and office work. You will lead engineers and designers delivering electrical design, modification, and analysis for systems supporting nuclear-material processing, nuclear-waste treatment, storage and disposal, and commercial nuclear power plants. The work includes challenging assignments in electrical system design, investigation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. You will coordinate detailed design phases, guide project delivery, and ensure designs meet project specifications, codes, and client requirements. The position also involves preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, design documentation, reports, studies, and purchase specifications, as well as reviewing work produced by others. Sargent & Lundy’s Government Services Division provides engineering design and consulting support to U.S. Department of Energy sites and national laboratories, including the DOE Environmental Management Directorate and National Nuclear Security Administration laboratories and sites. The work supports cleanup of the legacy nuclear weapons production complex and preservation of the country’s nuclear deterrent, including facilities and systems for treating, storing, and disposing of nuclear waste and safely handling and processing nuclear material.
