Lead Digital IC Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced lead digital IC designer to join our team and take a leading role in developing digital IPs and digital ASICs for our custom ICs. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of digital IC design at the CMOS circuit level, as well as know-how in standard-cell based digital IC design. Fluency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and real-number based modeling and verification is a must, along with 5+ years of experience in RTL based digital design capture and verification. Additionally, the candidate should have a successful track record of providing digital IPs in fabricated silicon products and experience with RTL-to-GDS digital design implementation using industry standard tools.

Design digital IPs and chips used in custom photonic components

Understand digital IC design at CMOS circuit level

Utilize standard-cell based digital IC design

Fluency in Verilog / SystemVerilog, and Real-Number based modeling and verification

Experience in RTL based digital design capture and verification

Close digital design in terms of area, power, and timing

Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces using PLLs, DLLs, Serializers

Provide digital IPs in fabricated silicon products

Implement RTL-to-GDS digital design using industry standard tools

Familiarity with open source digital IC design flows and open PDKs

Command on scripting languages (e.g. Python, TCL, Perl) for design and testing

Lead digital IC designer

Design embedded digital systems (preferred)

• 5+ years of experience in RTL based digital design capture and verification
• Sound understanding of closing the digital design in terms of area, power, and timing
• Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces using PLLs, DLLs, Serializers
• Successful track record of providing digital IPs in fabricated silicon products
• Experience with RTL-to-GDS digital design implementation using industry standard tools
• Familiarity with open source digital IC design flows and open PDKs
• Good command on scripting languages (e.g. Python, TCL, Perl) for design and testing
• Evidence of exceptional ability as a lead digital IC designer
• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Familiarity with embedded digital system design
• Experience with the RISC-V architecture, design and implementation
• Familiarity with FPGA programming for chip testing and IP verification / emulation
• Experience in digital design for medical applications for safety
• MSc, PhD or equivalent professional experience in digital IC design and methodologies
