About The Position

The Lead - Dairy-Deli-Frozen supports and leads the daily activities of the Dairy, Deli, and Frozen team. The role helps maintain product quality, freshness, inventory accuracy, and product availability while ensuring merchandise and department areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked. It also provides customer service and guidance to team members while upholding food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb ladders as needed.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods.
• Ability to use hands and arms continuously to stock, organize, and handle merchandise.
• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other department equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 2 years of grocery, dairy, deli, frozen, or retail stocking experience preferred.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the daily activities of the Dairy, Deli, and Frozen team.
• Assist with stocking, rotating, and replenishing merchandise using FIFO practices.
• Monitor product quality, freshness, expiration dates, and proper temperature controls.
• Keep shelves, displays, coolers, and freezers clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Provide customer service and assist customers with product selection and inquiries.
• Help train, coach, and guide team members on department procedures and company standards.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with inventory counts, delivery receiving, and organized back stock.
• Perform ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory control activities to maintain accurate inventory levels and product availability.
• Safely operate department equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager or Store Management.
