About The Position

The Lead Dairy Frozen Clerk oversees the Frozen and Dairy Departments when the Department Manager is absent. The role supports remarkable merchandising standards, keeps the department stocked, and maintains freshness by rotating out-of-date merchandise. The position also trains new employees, answers guest phone calls professionally, and takes special orders. The Frozen/Dairy Department Lead helps ensure continuous delivery of exceptional guest service by engaging guests, suggestive selling, maintaining superior product quality and freshness, creating a fun and friendly atmosphere, and building appealing product displays. The role also requires understanding and following health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee the Frozen and Dairy Departments in the Department Manager’s absence.
Assist with executing merchandising standards and keep the department stocked.
Control freshness by rotating out-of-date merchandise.
Train new employees.
Answer guest phone calls professionally and take special orders.
Deliver exceptional guest service and actively engage guests shopping in the departments.
Suggestively sell products.
Ensure the quality and freshness of products.
Create a fun and friendly atmosphere and appealing product displays.
Understand and follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
