About The Position

Rackner is seeking an experienced, board-certified physician and clinical informatics leader to support military healthcare operations. The role serves as a clinical authority for the program, helping ensure clinical guidance is accurate, workflows support healthcare professionals, and clinical concerns receive appropriate attention. The Lead Clinical Informaticist collaborates with clinical, technical, and operational teams and represents clinical priorities in discussions with Government stakeholders. This is a remote position within the United States, with travel to military treatment facilities and exercises as required. An active Secret security clearance is required.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. with board certification.
Clinical informatics leadership experience within the Military Health System (MHS) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
Hands-on experience with MHS GENESIS (Oracle Health).
Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS) or operational medicine.
Previous experience as a Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) or clinical informatics director.

Responsibilities

Review and approve clinical training materials, guidance, and knowledge resources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Establish standards for evaluating clinical proficiency and effective use of healthcare technology.
Lead reviews of recurring workflow and documentation issues and work with the clinical informatics team to identify improvements.
Provide clinical guidance to field and exercise teams and help coordinate appropriate clinical informatics support.
Participate in clinical governance and performance discussions with Government stakeholders.
