About The Position
The Lead Cashier maintains guest services in accordance with company standards, expedites guest transactions, and helps ensure guest satisfaction at the service desk. The role controls cash and media materials and supports daily cashier operations. The position is with Levy at Mammoth Mountain; the posting identifies the title as “Lead Cashier - June - Mammoth Mountain.”
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every guest, maintain product knowledge, and provide outstanding guest service.
- Oversee and authorize guest returns, exchanges, merchandise credits, check authorization, charge sends, rain checks, and discretionary discounts.
- Ensure completion of all point-of-sale transactions and proper control of cash and media at registers.
- Help train cashiers and cross-train other associates.
- Help prepare daily deposits, change, and media; some locations provide access to safe combinations and keys.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices, and support loss-prevention efforts.
- Oversee cashier productivity, breaks, and daily scheduling, and communicate performance issues to management.
- Maintain front-end supplies.
- Help with guest service, floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance, and merchandise replenishment as needed.
- Cover cashier shifts when call-offs occur.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
