About The Position
The Bar Back receives liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily and as needed, and replenishes bar supplies throughout the shift. The role supports bartenders and helps maintain an orderly, clean bar or lounge area.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve food items from the kitchen and deliver them to the bar area.
- Retrieve beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver them to the bar area.
- Set up bottles on the bar, placing top-shelf liquor on the back shelf.
- Ensure beer taps are working properly.
- Place bar snacks on the counter and keep snacks, napkins, and other supplies stocked throughout the shift.
- Assist with opening and closing side work as assigned.
- Bus tables in the bar area.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas, including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, and floors under equipment, and sweeping and mopping service areas and floor mats.
- Remove rubbish from all receptacles.
- Prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist the bartender.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
