About The Position

The Bartender prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. The role includes setting up and stocking the bar, preparing garnishes and perishables, taking and processing drink orders, mixing and presenting drinks according to standard recipes, handling payments and deposits, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The Bartender must follow applicable liquor regulations, verify guests’ identification, and respond appropriately to signs of intoxication.

Responsibilities

Follow state, federal, and company liquor regulations, including rules regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
Take and process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and prudent portion control.
Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
Recognize and respond to guest inebriation as trained and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly completed.
Lock up and store beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops; secure the bank.
Perform general cleaning tasks and maintain health and safety standards and an organized work area.
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
