About The Position

A well-known nonprofit in St. Louis is seeking a temporary social worker to work with veterans residing in transitional housing. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday during normal daytime business hours and is expected to last 3–6 months, with the option to extend.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience working with veterans, unhoused people, and chemically dependent populations.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake and exit assessments, service and care plans, progress notes, case coordination notes, incident reports, and discharge summaries.
• Organize veteran classes and group work, including life skills, employment skills, and community resource connection.
• Guide the case management team for all veteran programming and support productive daily operations.
• Maintain an organized bookkeeping system and provide reports regarding program activities, progress, and outcomes.
