About The Position

A non-profit organization is seeking a temporary, full-time social worker to provide case management to individuals and families using seasonal shelters over the winter months. The assignment is approximately four months, from 10/26/26 to 3/5/27. The schedule is flexible and varies based on program needs, but includes one evening shift per week and every other weekend.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Strong leadership style, organizational skills, and commitment to carrying out the organization's mission.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work one evening shift per week and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments of newly admitted seasonal shelter residents to determine their needs.
• Develop case plans with short- and long-term goals to increase client functioning and support resettlement in permanent housing.
• Participate in all phases of case management to advance case plans.
• Meet with individuals weekly to review progress and address concerns.
• Connect clients with resources and make referrals for employment, housing, utilities, budgeting, and other issues to increase independence and self-sufficiency and eliminate barriers.
