About The Position

Swissport is hiring a Lead Cargo Warehouse Agent to support its cargo operation. The role organizes warehouse and storage facilities, arranges warehouse handling equipment, and oversees the loading and unloading of air cargo while maintaining required safety and quality standards and complying with standard operating procedures and company policies. The position also supports operational performance, effective resource planning, employee performance management, and training. The expected pay rate is $23.70 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of industry experience.
• 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment and deal with conflict.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Technical knowledge of equipment and systems.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Customer focus and quality awareness.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Ensure financial targets are met in line with the operational plan.
• Establish and maintain high-quality standards in cargo operations and continually improve workflows to meet competitive requirements.
• Closely supervise subcontracted cargo service providers.
• Ensure price increases.
• Maintain effective business relationships with customer airline management.
• Maintain good working relationships with control authorities, including Airport Management, Customs, and Immigration.
• Identify root causes of problems and institute corrective actions.
• Generate detailed reports and operational summaries.
• Support operational performance.
• Ensure effective planning methods and procedures are in place, with adequate manpower and equipment to meet operational requirements.
• Oversee employee performance and implement required training.
• Organize warehouse and storage facilities, arrange handling equipment, and load and unload air cargo while following safety, quality, SOP, and company policy requirements.
