About The Position

Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a Lead Care Manager to serve as a shift leader and working caregiver, providing consistent, compassionate resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team. The role combines hands-on assistance with frontline leadership, emphasizing professionalism, accountability, quality, hospitality, and safety.

The Lead Care Manager coordinates shift assignments and coverage, supports residents with activities of daily living when needed, monitors changes in residents’ conditions, and communicates concerns promptly. The role also supports onboarding and mentors new team members, reviews documentation for alignment with Individualized Service Plans, and helps ensure smooth shift transitions and compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Medication Administration certification.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
• Model professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service as a working caregiver and frontline leader.
