Lead Business Consultant - Sales Cloud

Perficient•Town and Country, MO
•$110,000 - $140,000

About The Position

The Lead Business Consultant is responsible for hands-on configuration, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Agentforce capabilities during customer engagements. The role focuses on execution and delivery within implementation pods, rapidly deploying and refining solutions that drive customer adoption and platform consumption. The consultant works directly with customers and collaborates with architects and other consultants, combining technical implementation skills with business problem-solving and customer engagement. Customer engagements run as fixed 12-week sprints. Weeks 0–2 focus on assessment and readiness, including the customer’s org, security, data, users, permissions, and priority AI workflows. Weeks 3–5 focus on building and validation, while weeks 5–12 focus on adoption and optimization. The approach emphasizes rapid prototyping, demonstrating working solutions, and iteration rather than traditional waterfall delivery. Success is measured by user adoption and platform consumption. After an engagement ends, the consultant moves to the next customer engagement. Location is flexible, with availability required during customer business hours. The role also leads client calls as the primary point of contact, conducts discovery and requirements sessions, translates business needs into configuration and backlog items, and works with customers to identify enhancements. The consultant partners with Project Managers and Solutions Architects on scope or unclear requirements and mentors junior consultants. Perficient describes its environment as collaborative and inclusive, and offers full-time employees competitive compensation, paid time off, holidays, and benefits, along with reward and recognition programs that include billable bonus opportunities.
