Lead Business Consultant

Perficient•Town and Country, MO
•$100,000 - $130,000

About The Position

Perficient is hiring a Lead Business Consultant for its Salesforce practice, which delivers in small, AI-first teams. The consultant owns the requirements and sign-offs for a delivery team’s scope, defines what gets built, determines whether the solution meets the need, manages scope and change requests, and obtains client approval. AI tools are used to draft requirements, stories, configuration, tests, and documentation; the consultant reviews, corrects, and approves generated work and remains accountable for it. The role includes Salesforce Marketing Cloud delivery, including email development, data extensions, automations, journeys, campaign configuration, instance creation, data modeling, and integrations with the broader Salesforce ecosystem. The consultant also advises on marketing automation best practices, governance, and compliance. They run discovery and requirements sessions, author and own PRDs, validate gaps against standard functionality, prototype in the platform, manage scope decisions, secure business approval for stories, and lead UAT through written acceptance. On larger programs, they may contribute to solution discussions across teams. The position calls for substantial client-facing consulting and Salesforce delivery experience, including independent discovery leadership, current practical use of AI tools in requirements and design, Salesforce solution development, and work on Marketing Cloud and Salesforce.com. Experience with Interaction Studio and openness to travel are required. The role is full-time. The stated US base salary range is $100,000 to $130,000, with actual compensation dependent on factors including skills, experience, location, training, licensure, and certifications. Perficient describes its culture as collaborative and inclusive and offers competitive compensation, paid time off, holidays, and employee rewards and recognition programs.
