About The Position

Quality Roots is seeking a Lead Budtender to lead a team of budtenders and deliver strong customer experiences and sales results. The role combines customer service, product education, sales, and oversight of daily dispensary operations. The Lead Budtender also assists with training and performance development for current and new team members.

This is a full-time position, scheduled for 40–45 hours per week in 8–10 hour shifts. Day, evening, and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of retail experience.
• Proven ability to upsell and meet sales goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Cannabis knowledge or eagerness to learn and develop expertise.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year in a leadership or sales role.
• Familiarity with POS and seed-to-sale software, such as Flowhub, METRC, or Dutchie.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of budtenders while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Drive sales through product education, strategic upselling, and promotional engagement.
• Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable products.
• Oversee daily operations, including sales tracking, inventory audits, compliance, and cash handling.
• Assist with training and performance development for current and new budtenders.
