About The Position
Quality Roots is hiring a Lead Budtender to lead a team and deliver strong customer experiences and sales results at its cannabis retail business. The role combines customer service and product education with sales leadership and oversight of daily dispensary operations. The Lead Budtender helps customers choose products suited to their needs, supports the training and development of budtenders, and contributes to a supportive, community-focused retail environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of retail experience.
- Ability to upsell and meet sales goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Cannabis knowledge or willingness to learn and develop expertise.
- At least 21 years old.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year in a leadership or sales role.
- Familiarity with POS and seed-to-sale software such as Flowhub, METRC, or Dutchie.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate budtenders while providing top-tier customer service.
- Drive sales through product education, strategic upselling, and promotional engagement.
- Understand customers’ needs and recommend tailored product solutions.
- Oversee daily operations, including sales tracking, inventory audits, compliance, and cash handling.
- Assist with training and performance development for current and new budtenders.
