About The Position

Launch Potato is seeking a Lead BI Developer to own the reporting infrastructure used for decision-making across its Credit Cards, Make Money/Manage Money, Banking, and Marketplace verticals. The role is embedded with business teams from the outset and partners closely with Yield, Paid Media, and Account Management to investigate trends, conduct retrospective analyses, and connect reporting to business decisions. Areas of analysis include experiments, creatives, offers, seasonality, and customer acquisition cost (CAC) performance. The successful candidate will own reporting end to end, from raw data ingestion through final dashboards, while standardizing reporting and improving trusted data sources. This is not a dashboard handoff role: the developer is expected to ensure work is used, understood, and acted on, and to grow into a proactive analytical partner who recommends actions and helps teams anticipate business needs. In the first 30 days, the role will audit stakeholder reporting consumption, identify discrepancies, redundancies, and inconsistencies, and begin a standardization roadmap. By 60 days, the developer should understand how assigned verticals make money and their key performance levers, improve dashboards, and handle ad hoc requests accurately and with business context. By 90 days, dashboard standardization should be underway, a roadmap for trusted data sources should be clear, LookML structure should be understood well enough to make informed changes, and relationships with key business teams should be established. At six months, the role is expected to support self-service analytics through education, best practices, and standardized reporting, while delivering proactive retrospective analyses and understanding the full-funnel metrics used by each team. Within a year, the developer should be the trusted technical owner for assigned verticals, with standardized reporting and consistent retrospective analysis, and be recognized as an analytical partner who recommends action rather than merely reporting findings. The listed base salary is $120,000 to $150,000 per year, paid semi-monthly. Compensation also includes a profit-sharing bonus and competitive benefits. Salary is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and Launch Potato’s Levels Framework; future increases are based on company and individual performance rather than annual cost-of-living adjustments. Launch Potato describes itself as a profitable, bootstrapped company with a South Florida headquarters and a remote-first team across 18 countries.
