About The Position

Launch Potato is hiring a Lead BI Developer to own reporting infrastructure that supports decision-making across its Credit Cards, Make Money/Manage Money, Banking, and Marketplace verticals. The role is embedded with the business and partners closely with Yield, Paid Media, and Account Management teams. The successful candidate will audit and standardize existing reporting, understand how assigned verticals make money and identify key performance levers, and deliver retrospective analyses of experiments, creatives, offers, seasonality, and customer acquisition cost (CAC) performance. This is an end-to-end reporting ownership role, spanning raw data ingestion through final dashboards. The Lead BI Developer is expected to build reporting that is adopted and understood, promote data literacy and confident self-service analytics, and connect analysis to business decisions. Over time, the role grows from technical ownership into proactive analytical partnership, including recommending actions and surfacing insights the business may not already see. The position requires strong SQL skills, comfort working with unstructured and complex third-party data, advanced LookML development or equivalent Power BI/Tableau expertise, and a solid understanding of performance or affiliate marketing. Compensation includes a base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year, paid semi-monthly, plus a profit-sharing bonus and competitive benefits. Base salary varies based on market rates for the nearest major metro and Launch Potato’s Levels Framework.

Requirements

  • Direct exposure to performance or affiliate marketing.
  • Expert SQL skills and comfort extracting accurate insights from raw, unstructured, complex data without relying on clean models.
  • Experience building, standardizing, and driving adoption of reporting, while improving data literacy.
  • Ability to connect data to business levers such as campaign performance, conversion rates, or revenue per session.
  • Advanced LookML development, or equivalent expertise in Power BI or Tableau, including understanding downstream impacts of model changes.
  • Experience owning reporting end-to-end, from pipeline through dashboard.
  • Ability to work with messy, complex third-party data and partner closely with business teams.
  • Curiosity and willingness to develop business knowledge and become a trusted analytical partner.
  • Strong analytical rigor, communication, collaboration, business acumen, and proactive ownership.
