About The Position

Naturescape of Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking to hire a Lawn Care Specialist to provide our customers with outstanding services for their residential and commercial properties. This is a career opportunity in lawn and landscape care with a stable, family-owned business where you will be a valued and respected member of a close-knit team. You will be the face of our company in the field, managing a route and transforming landscapes. Your "office" changes daily as you navigate to residential and commercial properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You will take pride in your work, enhancing a customer's property and their pride in it. You will act as a consultant and problem-solver, explaining the benefits of services and ensuring clients are happy, informed, and confident. Adaptability is key, as you will pivot to snow removal in the winter to ensure customers stay safe and mobile. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. Your most important responsibility is your own development, with a focus on learning and growing your skills.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Motivated with a desire to learn
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification in categories Core and 3T (Turf Pest Control) is required for a bonus at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, landscaper, groundskeeper, or lawn mower.
