About The Position

Naturescape of Madison, WI is seeking to hire a Lawn Care Specialist to provide our customers with outstanding services for their residential and commercial properties. This role offers a career in lawn and landscape care with a stable, family-owned business, where you can be a valued and respected member of a close-knit team. You will be the face of the company in the field, managing a route and transforming landscapes. Your "office" changes daily as you navigate to residential and commercial properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You will also act as a consultant and problem-solver, explaining the benefits of services and ensuring clients are happy, informed, and confident. Adaptability is key, as you will pivot to snow removal in the winter to ensure customers stay safe and mobile. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. The company emphasizes continuous learning and development, with a "learning by doing" approach. Previous experience in general labor, construction, landscaping, or groundskeeping is helpful, but a "can-do" attitude and willingness to be coached are most important.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Motivated with a desire to learn

  • Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, landscaper, groundskeeper, or lawn mower.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding lawn and landscape services for residential and commercial properties.
  • Manage a route and transform landscapes.
  • Navigate to properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control.
  • Act as a consultant and problem-solver for customer landscape needs.
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with clients about their landscape services.
  • Adapt to seasonal changes, including performing snow removal in the winter.
  • Obtain and maintain state pesticide certifications.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills in lawn and landscape care.
