About The Position

King-Bruwaert House, a senior living community in Burr Ridge, Illinois, is seeking a part-time Laundry Technician for the AM shift. The role provides timely cleaning and delivery of residents’ and in-house laundry items while helping maintain the community’s standards and supporting residents’ quality of life. The position is part of the housekeeping team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of operating washing and drying equipment for clothing and bedding.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work the AM shift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a laundry attendant in a hospital or senior residence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate laundry and linen supplies in linen closets to meet residents’ daily needs.
• Sort soiled laundry, linens, and garments and place them in covered bins and assigned areas according to established procedures.
• Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linens, and garments to residents in covered bins and assigned areas.
• Clean and properly store equipment at the end of the shift.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas.
• Work weekends, holidays, or beyond assigned hours when necessary, and be available for call-back during emergencies such as severe weather or evacuations.
• Perform other related duties as considered necessary or appropriate, or as directed by the department manager or CEO.
