About The Position

The Hotel Laundry Processor processes and monitors the quality of sorted, dirty linens during washing and drying cycles. The role supports hotel and other departments by washing linens and maintaining production, inventory, equipment, and work-area standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pleasant, poised personality.
• Ability to get along with coworkers and work as part of a team.
• Well-groomed appearance.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to push and pull up to 150 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working in the assigned area.
• Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Ability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure standards and job assignments are met when a manager or supervisor is absent.
• Maintain par levels for inventory items and advise a supervisor or lead of shortages.
• Separate and wash linens, sheets, pillowcases, face and bath towels, mop heads, cleaning towels, and other laundry items for the hotel or other departments as needed.
• Clean and maintain the work area according to department and safety standards.
• Keep washers and dryers loaded during production hours with the linen needed to refill exchange carts for the next business day or to serve other departments.
• Change laundry chemicals as needed.
• Set and monitor proper temperatures on washing and drying machines.
• Keep dryer lint traps clean and clean floor drains.
• Keep laundry chutes free of linen and clear them at the end of the day.
• Put stained linens into soak cycles at the end of each shift as needed.
• Maintain loss-control sheets for damaged or stained items.
• Report maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and monitor laundry-machine performance.
