Requirements

• Must be able to follow direction as given.
• Must be able to communicate with other employees and patients in a proper manner.
• Knows the procedures for infection control.
• Position requires Sitting, Standing, Bending, Lifting, and Moving around facility.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and push a minimum of 125 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull heavy, wet linen and move equipment and supplies throughout the work day.
• Must be able to wear latex, vinyl, neoprene, and rubber gloves when performing certain Laundry duties.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled linens from department according to schedule.
• Completes processing tasks such as counting, weighing, and recording items.
• Utilizes automated equipment or manual processes to process and clean the laundry.
• Delivers clean linens to departments and responds to special delivery or pick up requests.
• Follows all sanitation and infection control guidelines.
