About The Position

Process clean linen in the Production Department by hand folding or using production finishing equipment. Identify, inspect, and sort linen during folding and finishing, meet production standards, maintain general knowledge of the accounts served, and perform duties in the Production Area and other areas as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment, count, and understand instructions from supervisory staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate production finishing equipment by feeding flatwork linens into ironers or folders manually or with an automatic feeder.
• Remove stained and torn linens from circulation and place them in the appropriate baskets.
• Fold, sort, and stack linens, and place them on storage linen racks.
• Operate small-piece folders, ensuring the machine is set for the product being fed.
• Hand fold linens that are not processed through a folder, using the standard folding method.
• Operate the conveyor system by removing and stacking linens fed onto belts by folders, ensuring stacks are neat and organized.
• Maintain appropriate production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
