About The Position

The Laundry Attendant provides clean, well-maintained linens and towels for guest rooms and assists the housekeeping department with daily operations. Duties include processing laundry, stripping guest rooms, and maintaining hotel public areas as needed. The position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with schedules that may vary according to hotel business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach above shoulder level repetitively.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules may vary to reflect hotel business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold guest room linens and towels.
• Organize clean linens and towels and make them available to housekeeping staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained laundry facility using the Laundry Attendant checklist.
• Operate laundry equipment properly and follow established safety procedures.
• Strip guest rooms by removing used linens, towels, and trash.
• Clean and maintain public areas, including the lobby, hallways, public restrooms, elevators, and other common areas as needed.
• Work cooperatively with the housekeeping team to meet daily operational needs.
• Assist guests with requests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Deliver clean linens and towels to storage rooms or housekeeping carts.
• Remove soiled linens and towels from guest rooms and help prepare rooms for cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.
