About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant prepares, maintains, and cleans the breakfast area before, during, and after service. The role includes setting up food and beverage stations, monitoring food temperatures and equipment, replenishing items, keeping the dining area sanitary, assisting guests with food questions, following food safety requirements, restocking supplies, and completing required checklists and logs.

Responsibilities

• Arrive before service opens and set up the breakfast area by staging food, filling warmers, brewing coffee, and preparing the juice station.
• Monitor chafers and hot-holding equipment, maintain food temperatures, and replace items as they deplete.
• Continuously replenish breakfast items, including eggs, pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and hot beverages.
• Clear used plates, cups, and utensils; wipe tables and reset seating areas throughout service.
• Keep the breakfast area clean and sanitary, addressing spills and messes promptly.
• Answer guest questions about food items, including ingredients and common allergens when asked.
• Follow health code requirements, including date labeling, temperature logging, and proper food handling.
• Restock disposable items, napkins, condiments, and food inventory from storage.
• Break down the breakfast area after service, discard expired items, clean equipment, and secure storage.
• Complete opening and closing checklists, temperature logs, and required food safety documentation.
