About The Position

The laundry attendant’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning and folding soiled linen which includes linen from the guest rooms as well as any other duties that the Executive Housekeeper see fit to assign. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and availability of linen for the hotel's departments.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Relevant experience in customer service.
Ability to effectively communicate with employees and supervisors for optimum operation of the property.
Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
Ability to maintain guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation.
Commitment to guest satisfaction.
Ability to meet or exceed guest satisfaction measures.
Ability to implement and practice guest service initiatives.
Proper lifting techniques required.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and folding soiled linen from guest rooms.
Sorting linen by type.
Properly loading washers and dryers.
Following proper laundry folding and stacking procedures.
Separating re-wash linen using proper procedures.
Assisting with monthly inventory procedures.
Collecting dirty linen from guest rooms.
Cleaning linen traps from dryers.
Performing equipment wipe downs and reporting any malfunctions to management.
Sweeping and mopping laundry floors.
Removing trash at the end of the shift.
Approaching all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintaining regular attendance in compliance with Gulph Creek Standards.
Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
Complying with Gulph Creek standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Ensuring that linen is clean and available for use by the hotel’s departments when needed.
Performing other duties as required.
