About The Position
The Laundry Attendant plays an essential role in supporting hotel operations by ensuring a consistent supply of clean, high-quality linens, towels, and uniforms for both Cascade Hotel Kansas City and Aloft Kansas City Country Club Plaza. This position is responsible for processing laundry efficiently while maintaining quality standards, organization, and safety throughout the laundry facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and fellow associates.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience.
- Experience operating commercial laundry equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of clean linens to support daily hotel operations.
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, and overall quality, following established recovery and discard procedures.
- Fold, stack, organize, and store clean linens according to hotel standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry work area.
- Monitor laundry supplies and notify leadership when inventory requires replenishment.
- Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and equipment operating standards.
- Support Housekeeping operations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws.
- Must comply with hotel uniform, grooming, and professional behavior standards.
- Must be willing to support Housekeeping and other departments as operational needs require.
