About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of hotel linens and terry and ensuring cleanliness standards are met by performing all facets of the laundry operation. The role also includes cleaning associate uniforms, assisting with delivery of guest supplies, supporting linen inventory, and keeping the laundry room and equipment in good condition.

Requirements

• Up to 1 month of related experience or training in housekeeping or laundry.
• Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and a drive to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Collect or receive and sort soiled linen and terry, then place items in containers for laundering.
• Spot treat, wash, dry, press, fold, sort, and store clean linen and terry.
• Examine laundered items to ensure they are clean and serviceable.
• Ensure proper chemical levels in washing machines.
• Clean washer filters and dryer lint traps.
• Clean associate uniforms in accordance with the Uniform Laundering Guide.
• Assist with delivering cots, cribs, and other guest-related supplies to guest rooms as needed.
• Assist with month-end inventory of linen and terry.
• Keep the laundry room clean and orderly.
• Maintain work equipment, tools, and supplies, and report deficiencies.
