Laundry Assistant Manager, Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge
About The Position
The Laundry Assistant Manager role at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge is part of Pursuit’s Spring/Summer 2027 seasonal hiring and is a full-time position beginning in February 2027. The starting wage is $23.75 per hour. The role involves supervising, training, and scheduling laundry staff; overseeing the daily laundering, folding, and organization of Lodge linens; and ensuring laundry equipment is operated safely and efficiently. The position also includes inspecting and maintaining equipment, filling linen orders, maintaining linen inventories, and working with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long hours.
- Ability to multitask and be self-motivated.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and motivate staff.
- Must be at least 18 years of age when employment begins.
- A valid driver's license is required to operate a company vehicle if required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and provide leadership to Laundry Attendants.
- Create schedules for laundry staff.
- Safely operate laundry equipment.
- Launder, fold, and organize Lodge linens.
- Fill linen orders and maintain specific linen inventories.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of laundry equipment.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team in reaching common goals.
