About The Position

The Laundry Assistant Manager is a full-time, seasonal role at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge beginning in February 2027 as part of Pursuit’s Spring/Summer 2027 hiring. The position supervises, trains, and schedules laundry staff and is responsible for daily laundering and folding of Lodge linens and the safe, efficient operation of laundry equipment. The role also includes inspecting and maintaining equipment, filling linen orders, maintaining linen inventories, and working with colleagues across departments to meet shared goals. The starting wage is $23.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long hours.
• Ability to multitask and work independently with self-motivation.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and motivate staff.
• Must be at least 18 years old when employment begins.
• A valid driver’s license is required if operating a company vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and provide leadership to Laundry Attendants.
• Create schedules for laundry staff.
• Safely operate laundry equipment and launder, fold, and organize Lodge linens.
• Fill linen orders and maintain specified linen inventories.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance of laundry equipment.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
