About The Position
The Groups Assistant supports the maintenance of national and international group bookings at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and helps ensure guests receive high-quality service. The role works closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, Event Coordinator, Front Operations Manager, and Reservations groups team. This is a full-time seasonal position for Spring/Summer 2027, beginning in April 2027, with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Previous guest service experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform job duties involving regular sitting, standing, walking, seeing, and hearing.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Monitor changes to group bookings.
- Communicate booking changes to management.
- Maintain files and folders for all groups.
- Provide a weekly schedule detailing groups and events scheduled to arrive at the lodge and restaurant.
- Greet tour directors upon arrival and confirm requirements are set for arriving groups.
- Assist Front Desk staff as needed.
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager with group events as needed.
- Assist with data entry for the group manifest.
