About The Position

Blue Heron Senior Living is seeking a full-time, evening Laundry Aide to support residents in maintaining their highest functional abilities. The role is part of the environmental team and involves carrying out laundry tasks according to established policies and procedures, protecting residents’ rights and privacy, and following facility reporting processes.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, and stand constantly for long periods during a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow established policies and procedures for laundry tasks.
• Pick up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transport them to the laundry department using proper protocols.
• Use appropriate protective clothing and equipment while performing laundry duties.
• Maintain cleaning schedules for assigned areas and follow laundry department schedules.
• Protect residents’ confidentiality, rights, privacy, and property.
• Report and document resident or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations according to facility policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system.
