About The Position

Paradise Landscaping is seeking an experienced landscape leader to join their team. This role will begin at their headquarters in Shelby, NC, for approximately 12-24 months to learn company systems, culture, financial model, and leadership philosophy. The ultimate goal is to prepare the individual for a leadership role in expanding into the Charlotte area as a Branch Manager. This is an opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing company, work directly with ownership, build and develop teams, lead commercial maintenance and landscape construction operations, and make a lasting impact on company growth. The Landscape Operations Manager is responsible for leading daily operations, driving safety, quality, efficiency, profitability, and team development. This is a hands-on role involving office and field work, coaching Team Leaders, solving operational challenges, improving production, and ensuring exceptional client service. The ideal candidate enjoys leading people, improving systems, developing future leaders, and creating accountability across multiple service divisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of landscape industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role
  • Experience leading multiple landscape crews or service divisions
  • Strong knowledge of: Commercial landscape maintenance, Landscape construction, Irrigation systems, Landscape enhancements, Plant identification and horticulture
  • Experience managing labor productivity, scheduling, and job costing
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • North Carolina Pesticide License
  • Irrigation certification
  • ICPI, CLT, or other industry certifications
  • Experience with Aspire Landscape Software
  • Experience in a growth-oriented landscape company with multiple service divisions

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for landscape maintenance, installation, irrigation, and enhancement services
  • Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials
  • Ensure projects and services are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably
  • Monitor labor efficiency, productivity, and job costing
  • Identify operational challenges and implement solutions
  • Improve workflow and operational systems
  • Lead, mentor, and coach Team Leaders and field personnel
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits and quality inspections
  • Train employees on best practices, safety, and production techniques
  • Hold team members accountable to company standards
  • Help recruit, interview, and develop future leaders
  • Foster a culture built around ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support Account Managers in delivering exceptional service
  • Ensure work consistently exceeds client expectations
  • Resolve field-related concerns professionally and promptly
  • Maintain high standards of quality across every property and project
  • Provide guidance and support involving: Landscape construction, Irrigation systems, Landscape lighting, Drainage, Hardscape installation, Plant installation, Turf care and plant health, Equipment utilization, Jobsite logistics
  • Assist with troubleshooting and complex field challenges as needed
  • Track key operational metrics and KPIs
  • Improve labor efficiency and profitability
  • Support budgeting and forecasting
  • Monitor production goals
  • Help build scalable systems that support future company growth
