About The Position

The Rental Laborer is an entry-level position based at the rental store. The role maintains clean and orderly grounds, facilities, work areas, and rental equipment, supporting daily rental operations by ensuring equipment and work areas are properly maintained and ready for use. The Laborer works independently under close supervision and performs duties in all weather conditions.

The position involves physically demanding tasks such as cleaning rental equipment, removing mud and debris, and maintaining the wash pad area. Basic knowledge of equipment operation is required, including lift trucks, aerial equipment, on-highway trucks, and off-highway trucks. The Laborer is expected to demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and efficient work practices. Compensation advancement is based on skill development and job performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently under close supervision.
• Basic knowledge of operating lift trucks, aerial equipment, on-highway trucks, and off-highway trucks.
• Organizational skills.
• Basic technical skills.
• Written communication skills.
• Complete area-specific technical training.
• Complete required OSHA and MSHA training.
• Complete all required compliance training.
• Ability to speak, listen, read, write, and type effectively.
• Ability to reach, kneel, grasp, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb on and around heavy equipment.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and in environments with job site-related hazards.
• Ability to work effectively in stressful or high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate basic, safe operation of machinery and equipment.
• Identify and understand material handling equipment product lines.
• Follow established 5-Star Contamination Control procedures.
• Clean the shop and yard and maintain organized work areas as required.
• Operate wash rack equipment and properly clean rental equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of work performed.
• Assist customers and company personnel in the yard as required.
