About The Position

Responsible for applying new software applications in laboratory information systems and maintaining software applications to meet established laboratory needs. The role supports laboratory staff, maintains the accuracy and integrity of the LIS database, and designs and develops applications for laboratory computer systems. The position is based at 919 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is a regular, full-time day-shift role.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Three years of experience in a laboratory information system environment.
• Experience diagnosing and correcting computer software malfunctions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely fashion.
• Ability to train coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Formal technical training and/or college education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply new software applications for laboratory information systems.
• Maintain LIS database accuracy and integrity.
• Provide LIS support for laboratory staff to maximize operating efficiency.
• Design and develop new applications for laboratory computer systems.
• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in a manner consistent with the Hospital’s core values.
• Train coworkers.
