Laboratory Assistant - Providence Anchorage
About The Position
Providence is hiring multiple Laboratory Assistants for the Laboratory Outreach Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The role provides efficient, accurate, and courteous service to medical center patients and nursing home clients. It involves collecting and receiving specimens in accordance with medical center and laboratory procedures and applicable federal and state regulations, performing requested bedside bleeding-time tests, entering patient billing and charting data into hospital and laboratory computer systems, and processing specimens to maintain their integrity for testing. The listed schedule is full-time at 1.0 FTE, day shift, 40 hours per week. Applicants who meet the qualifications will receive additional screening questions through HireVue.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of phlebotomy experience, or one year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting.
- Applicants with less than one year of experience may be considered if they are PAMC Lab employees with at least six months of service and have approval from the Director.
