Labor & Employment Of Counsel
About The Position
Our San Francisco office has an opportunity for a Labor & Employment Of Counsel to join the firm’s expanding practice. The Employment Counsel will be expected to perform all the duties of a traditional law firm attorney, with an emphasis on counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research, drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings, attending court conferences, handling discovery-related activities and investigations, drafting of position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. The right candidate will have a passion for employment law, strong analytical and writing skills, and will add their enthusiasm to our affable, team-oriented environment. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the Fair Chance Ordinance.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor
- Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law in California and in good standing in California.
- During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding academic credentials – (top 20% of law school class; participation in extracurricular activities, such as Law Review and/or Moot Court)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- 8+ years of Employment Litigation Defense experience is preferred.
