About The Position

Our Sacramento office has an opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney to join the firm’s expanding Employment Law Practice. The Employment Counsel will be expected to perform all the duties of a traditional law firm attorney, with an emphasis on counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. Duties include, but are not limited to, taking and defending depositions, performing legal research, drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings, attending court conferences, leading discovery-related activities and investigations, drafting of position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. The right candidate will have a passion for employment law, strong analytical and writing skills, and will add their enthusiasm to our affable, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Juris Doctor
Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing
Meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice
Superior written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

7+ years of Employment Litigation Defense experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Taking and defending depositions
Performing legal research
Drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings
