About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LD RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process. This includes managing high-risk obstetrical patients, circulating in the OR, and supporting both mothers and newborns during and after delivery.
Requirements
- Active BLS, NRP, and Intermediate FHM (AWHONN) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Experience with high-acuity patient care and labor management.
- Ability to triage and prioritize care for a diverse patient population.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC.
Nice To Haves
- 3 years preferred for first-time travelers.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for high-acuity labor and delivery patients.
- Manage labor processes, perform cervical checks, and interpret fetal monitoring strips.
- Assist in the delivery of babies, including stabilizing and caring for healthy newborns.
- Triage patients and assist with OB ED responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Facilitate post-partum care for mothers and newborns, ensuring full recovery.
- Educate patients and families about the labor and delivery process and post-delivery care.
