About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team in City, State. This position requires a commitment to providing quality care for patients during labor, postpartum, and antepartum stages, as well as caring for newborns and infants under 28 days old.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience specific to Labor and Delivery.
- Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from the facility.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
- Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in South Dakota is required.
- Expertise in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) interpretation and intervention.
- Proficiency in adult and neonatal assessment skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including continuous fetal monitoring and assessment.
- Support patients through labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and positive experience.
- Care for postpartum patients and offer education on infant care and recovery processes.
- Monitor and assess both adult and neonatal patients, employing effective interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and support staff, to ensure high-quality patient care.
