About The Position
The Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for the planning and provision of nursing care to patients and their families during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This role includes responding to emergency situations and circulating during cesarean sections.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers and their families during various stages of labor and delivery.
- Assess and monitor patient status, recognizing and responding to any potential complications or emergencies.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective delivery outcomes.
- Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel in alignment with their scope of practice.
- Educate patients and families on pre-and post-delivery processes and care.
