About The Position

The Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for planning and providing nursing care to patients and their families during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This role includes managing emergency situations and circulating for C-sections, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the delivery process.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license in the applicable state.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.
• Handle emergency situations with a composed and efficient approach.
• Circulate and assist in C-sections and other surgical procedures as needed.
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel according to their scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
