About The Position
Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is seeking a Lab Technician / Assistant I in Tucson, Arizona. This long-term contract role, with the possibility of further extension, supports the maintenance and servicing of diagnostic laboratory equipment and slide scanning systems. The position also supports laboratory experiments and research activities, including preparing materials and samples for testing, collecting and documenting data, maintaining inventory and equipment, and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Experience with hand tools.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Technical aptitude, including experience maintaining or servicing diagnostic or laboratory equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including customer service experience dealing directly with the public.
- Ability to handle simultaneous projects while strategically prioritizing critical tasks.

- Experience in research or diagnostic laboratories.
